Success Stories

Since our inception in 2020, the Rising Together Alliance has helped the Archdiocese of Philadelphia grow from one inclusive school to over nine schools within three years. We couldn't be more proud of this huge achievement in such a short time period. Even more exciting is that we are slated to grow to twelve inclusive schools in the 2023-2024 academic year!

New Peer Mentor Program at Archbishop Carroll High School, Radnor, PA

Watch 6ABC News cover the new Peer Mentor program at Archbishop Carroll High School. Michael Schuller is paving the way for other students with intellectual disabilities to be fully integrated in a high school environment. The freshman at Archbishop Carroll High School has quite a few of them now thanks to a Peer Mentoring program.

Nativity of Our Lord: Keep Siblings Together, Where they belong.

Here at the Rising Together Alliance, we receive phone calls from parents in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit sitting with their medically complex newborn, not worrying about the medical challenges ahead of them, but concerned that their new son/daughter may not be able to attend Catholic school with their siblings. Nothing brings us more joy than being able to tell them they do not have to worry. Lucie and her family are proof of that. The staff at Nativity of Our Lord are leading the way in inclusive Catholic education.

Holy Trinity: Small School, Big Heart

Meet Rising Star Sarah Maddie! Sarah Maddie attends Holy Trinity School alongside her sisters and is loving fourth grade. She has been part of the Holy Trinity family since Pre-K. She is the record holder in the 4x100 Relay Team!

A Family's Top Priority: Belonging.

When the Szostek Family was looking for an elementary school for their daughter, their one and only priority was full inclusion and belonging. They found that in Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School. Abby is in her second year at Mother Teresa and is just one of the gang - the way it should be.
